Star of the North

Marjorie is the pretty one of the Preston sisters. So pretty that when a performer at her sister’s music room breaks her leg Marjorie is asked to fill in as assistant to the singer Denby Sinclair. This leads to their marriage and for her a new exciting life as a performer. Being on stage fulfils Marjorie’s dearest ambition but also leads to heartbreak as old secrets are exposed and her career ruined. Alone and away from her family Marjorie struggles to make a living for herself and her unborn child until a kindly man shows her tenderness and the promise of a new beginning.
